The Important Details and Answers to All Your Burning Questions

This is an immersive experience, designed specifically for emerging or small nonprofits that are committed to growth, however you define it. It takes energy, passion, and commitment. You really have to want it.

We know that change happens when leadership is on board. That's why we strongly recommend that two people from your organization participate. Ideally that means your executive director (if you have one) and a board member.

We are welcoming organizations that meet the following criteria:

• Your organization is incorporated, has 501(c)3 status or pending (for US organization) or has a fiscal sponsor.
• You have at least three board members who are not related.
• You are raising less than $250,000 (US) from individuals annually.
• You share LUNA's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from political organizations.

The cost for the 23-week program is $1,999. We have a generous funder that offers a limited number of partial scholarships ($1,500) available to organizations that fall into the broad category of "people helping people." For those organizations that receive scholarships, your cost is just $500, which you can pay in five installments.

Once you join LUNA, at least one person per group must prepare for and participate in all the online sessions and live workshops. If you have to miss a live workshop, you will be able to access the recording. You also need to complete the capstone project assignments (see "The Experience" section of this website). 

We understand that life happens, and you may not be able to complete the program. Talk to us, and we'll be happy to let you re-start in a future cohort. But, if you ghost us at any point or don't complete the program requirements, we will invoice you for the full value of the scholarship. 

Our classes are hybrid, with a combination of videos, digital downloads, and live, on-line workshops. You will be enrolled in our robust LUNA Town Square, on-line community where you will access the course materials, interact with your instructors and each other, and enjoy live weekly programming and a treasure trove of original and curated templates and resources. Our live sessions are recorded, so you will be able to download them and share with other members of your organization.

We have carefully designed lessons and assignments that we know will make the biggest difference for you. What you learn every week will be very actionable. At every step of the way, there will be things you can start to implement right away.

We're building a community of continuous learners. Your place in that community doesn't end when the course is finished.

As a member of the community, you will receive:

• Full access to the course materials and videos for one year at no charge
• Access to the LUNA Town Square for all of the latest resources and conversations (free for six months and then a nominal fee thereafter)
• Invitations to occasional live webinars for all current participants and alumni
• Discounted rates to other LUNA courses

We are introducing additional courses that you can access for a reasonable fee. If you want additional support, any of our instructors can be contracted for coaching or consulting services.

We want this to be a great experience, so we are limiting each cohort to no more than 15 organizations with two people from each. This will be an intimate, supportive learning environment for everyone.

Each cohort is 23 weeks. Much of the learning is done on-line at your own pace. There will be live sessions to help you workshop the ideas you are taking away from the program. And of course, our LUNA Town Square is available to you 24/7.
