The Level-Up Nonprofit Experience much more than a series of webinars. It's an immersive experience.
Please take a few minutes to go through these important FAQs, as they lay out all of the details of this program. When you apply, you are acknowledging that you understand the criteria for the program, the scholarship, and our "Pay-It-Forward" model .

This is an immersive experience, designed specifically for emerging or small nonprofits that are committed to growth, however you define it. It takes energy, passion, and commitment. You really have to want it.
We know that change happens when leadership is on board. That's why we strongly recommend that two people from your organization participate. Ideally that means your executive director (if you have one) and a board member.
We are welcoming organizations that meet the following criteria:
Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from political organizations.
Level-Up is intended for emerging and small nonprofits that fall into the broad category of "people helping people." We have a generous founding funder that is making no-cost scholarships (a $3,000 value) available to organizations that meet the criteria above.
In return for the scholarship, our funder is requesting that you "pay-it-forward" to another small nonprofit in the future (see below).
If you do not qualify for a grant but wish to participate, you may self-pay. If you are interested in this option, contact us as glenn@lunaexperience.org.
Change happens in nonprofits when leadership is on board. That's why we strongly recommend that two people from your organization participate, ideally the executive director (if you have one) and a board member.
Once you join LUNA, at least one person per group must prepare for and participate in all live sessions, letting us know if you need to be excused for any reason. If you have to miss a class, you will be able to access the recording of the live session. You also need to complete the capstone project assignments (see "The Experience" section of this website).
We understand that life happens, and you may not be able to complete the program. Talk to us, and we'll be happy to let you re-start in a future cohort. But, if you ghost us at any point or don't complete the program requirements, we will invoice for the full value of the scholarship.
As a way to make LUNA available to other small nonprofits, we have implemented a "Pay-It-Forward" model.
We believe that when you complete your LUNA experience, you are going to be well positioned to grow your philanthropic revenue considerably. So we will request that you to make a $3,000 contribution to the LUNA Scholarship Fund. But don't let this prevent you from participating in the program. You can do this over two years and even make monthly payments of just $125.
We understand that this may be a leap for you. However, consider the words of one of our first participants, "We've gotten so much out of LUNA, I can't wait to allow another organization to go through this."
Our classes are hybrid, with a combination of videos, digital downloads, and live instruction via Zoom. We will also have numerous "ask us anything" workshops. You will be enrolled in our robust LUNA Circle on-line community where you will access the course materials, interact with your instructors and each other, and benefit from bonus materials we will post from time to time. Our live sessions are recorded, so you will be able to download them and share with other members of your organization.
We have carefully designed lessons and assignments that we know will make the biggest difference for you. What you learn every week will be very actionable. After each session, there will be things you can start to implement right away.
We're building a community of continuous learners. That's why we will welcome you to our LUNAlumni group once you complete the program.

We are introducing additional courses that you can access for a reasonable fee. If you want additional support, any of our instructors can be contracted for coaching or consulting services.
We want this to be a great experience, so we are limiting each cohort to 10 to 15 organizations with two people from each. This will be an intimate, supportive learning environment for everyone.
Each cohort is 28 weeks. We take breaks here and there, and a couple of the weekly sessions are online only. Our next cohort begins in mid-June.
